Busbar Fault Detection
[BusBar Fault]

Unleash the power of the ACU to alert operators to possible substation busbar fault situations.

Using its multi-circuit monitoring and built in SCADA capabilities the ACU samples and holds all AC measurements for up to 9 circuits in a substation.

The ACU calculates the sum of all neutral currents in the station and any deviation from a configurable threshold indicates a potential phase to ground fault. The busbar fault indication is then sent over SCADA alerting operators to the potential fault situation at the reporting station. SCADA communications can employ one of the built-in communications protocols of the ACU such as: dnp3.0, Modbus or IEC104/104. Neutral currents can be either measured directly or calculated by the ACU.

Multi-circuit measurements, simultaneous sample and hold technology and reliable SCADA capabilities are all required to realize this powerful automation application, Wescon's ACU delivers on all fronts helping to make your electric system more reliable.
